  1. Standard DSO can also be used as a acquisition layer. The difference with WODSO is that a WODSO can store historic images of the data for each request. For instance, if a particular record was changed on three different days in ECC, it would result in multiple requests in the WODSO. The active table of the WODSO contains the request number, so you can easily check which request brought what data into the WODSO. In a standard DSO, this is more difficult.
  2. Direct delta causes a performance hit, so it is generally not preferred. For details please read the blogs by Roberto Negro, which are an excellent source for knowledge on LO.
  3. While migrating, there is an option to keep the older 3.x version alongside the 7.0. If you use that option, you can start using the 3.x version if needed.
  4. Both filters and RKFs are processed during query execution. As a result, they do not impact storage. However, query level filters do impvobe performance as they reduce the amount of data retrieved from the DB.
  5. Please search SCN as there are umpteen examples of MPROs and Infosets.
  6. It is not clear that "if we use upper [safety] limit, irrespective of the type, it will always handle duplication situation". It would be easier to explain this if you mention what you have read on safety limits  and what doubt you have after reading it.
  7. Please use the BADI described here  http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4009b0a8-7adc-2e10-48b3-a111c8f407af?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true&52536040171141
